My first solar cell!

Research is a long, hard road. I'm slowly but surely getting myself back into the lab. Today I made my first solar cell! The efficiency is really low - 0.08%. It's a long way from my short term 1.7% target. But with diligence and perseverence, I will make it there.

Right now, it's just wonderful to see a voltage coming out of my little cell after those lovely photons strike it =)
